After a positive experience of last season of the “Bollino Blu”, this year is expected to be re-activated in order to avert dangerous conduct which may put at risk the human lives at sea, thereby relieving the people from any offense, in particular, in close proximity to beaches and areas restricted to navigation.
Since the 1st of June upto the 30th September 2014, the police forces operating at coastal areas will release the Blue Sticker of the year 2014 (sticker to be applied in a visible manner on a vessel to show its full commitment). If this succeeds then the pleasure boats will pass by with regular documents on board. Thus any further control can be avoided.
Thanks to the work done by UCINA Confindustria Nautica, for the first time the controls on boats can also be made on the grounds and \ or on the docks.
Every action is determined according to a directive on streamlining the controls at sea for pleasure boats not in commercial vessels, the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Maurizio Lupi, who signed lately on the occasion of the annual convention of UCINA Satec, a formal agreement between the general Headquarters of the Harbour, the Finance Police, the Carabinieri as well as the Ministry of the Interior.
The electronic data exchange on controls already carried out will allow the best use of human resources and avoid any unnecessary duplication.
