Ucina: In 2014 the growth rate up by 7%

According to Confindustria Nautical ( Ucina ), after the 3% fall in 2013 compared to 2012, the growth rate registered in 2014, has risen up from 5.5% to 7% only in ship-building sector. Everything is as Ucina says on the occasion of Satec, the annual conference in Santa Margherita Ligure, the new president Massimo Perotti, is convinced,according to the information provided by the partner ship yards in the early months of 2014.

Certain positive factors have created hope for the best. For instance , the activation of electronic register of units has been approved in an executive decree by the State Council. Besides, the revitalization of the nautical leasing went down by 96% in the recent years.

An interesting public study conducted by the National Boat Show centre refers that the returning revenues of more than 40 thousand boaters have been "lost" in the period 2011-2013, due to punitive measures subsequently corrected. This would lead to the recovery of jobs to over 11,000 units and tax with revenues for the treasury funds up to 393 million euros, taking into account VAT and excise duties on spending yachtsman, taxes and contributions related to the berths and VAT on the sales of pleasure boats.
